Q: WHAT IS Make- A- Messterpiece ™ AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
A: Make- A- Messterpiece ™ is the ultimate children's creative art studio where we encourage children to be as creative and explorative as they want, and don’t let messes stop them from learning. Make- A- Messterpiece™ is a walk-in studio. No reservations are needed! Simply check in at the welcome desk upon entrance to begin your messy adventure.
Q: WHAT IS THE COST OF A VISIT?
A: Make-A-Messterpiece has 2 different admission packages, as well as an a la carte menu.

Admission includes unlimited creative time at the Splat-Tacular Tables, 2 Play Areas and Club M. Stay all day!

- EXPERIMENTATION STATION Future Scientists explore creative problem solving with mind blowing experiments and projects
- BUBBLE'OLOGY create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece using paint bubbles, while learning about Color combinations and air movement
- KIDS CREATIVE KITCHEN chefs-to-be create tasty treats while learning the basics of math and science
- LIL' SPROUTS budding gardeners learn patience, responsibility, and nurturing skills in the land of Lil' Sprouts
- DRUM ROLL rock out with splattering paint, sound activated lights and percussion, all while learning rhythm and sequence
Q: IS MY CHILD TOO YOUNG/TOO OLD TO MAKE A MESS?
A: Make- A- Messterpiece ™ is designed to inspire the cognitive and creative development of children ages 2-12. For even the littlest mess-makers, Make- A- Messterpiece ™ provides opportunities to explore a wide variety of arts and crafts materials and lessons. Our dedicated staff of teachers and artists tailor each creative experience to inspire and engage children of all ages.
Q: WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND WHERE CAN I PARK?
A: Make- A- Messterpiece ™ is located at the intersection of Tower Drive and Valor Drive at the North end of the Glen Town Center in Glenview. The studio is conveniently located between Willow Road and Lake Avenue, and between routes I-94 and I-294. A free parking garage is available adjacent to the studio, and is accessible from Valor Drive.
Q: DO YOU OFFER PARTIES AND SPECIAL EVENTS?
A: Whether you are celebrating a birthday, graduation, or other important milestone, Make- A- Messterpiece ™ offers the perfect way to celebrate your child's special day. A party coordinator is available Monday through Friday to plan and reserve your party date. Additional party information can be found here.
Q: ARE THERE DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE FOR FAMILIES WITH MULTIPLE CHILDREN ?
A: Make- A- Messterpiece ™ offers a membership for the entire family! Membership includes free access to the studio everyday for a year from the date of purchase, two hands-on activities per visit, and three play-date passes to bring friends, plus more! The Make-A-Messterpiece Family Annual Membership is $160 per family. For more information check out the memberships section on our website!
Q: WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT?
A: Non-Holiday and Non-School Vacation weekdays are a fantastic time to visit MAM. Many of our activities take about 25 to 30 minutes to participate in. On school holidays, lines may form and we ask that both children and parents practice patience.
Q: DO YOU WELCOME FIELD TRIPS AND GROUPS?
A: Field Trips to Make- A- Messterpiece ™ are a perfect way to extend arts education outside the classroom. We offer fantastic group discounts and welcome networking and meet-up groups. We even provide badge-eaming opportunities for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts! Additional information about field trips and group rates is available on our homepage.
Q: HOW MUCH TIME CAN WE SPEND IN THE STUDIO?
A: We invite families to spend as much time as they like at our studio. The studio fee covers every child's entry into the studio for the entire day. You can even leave the studio and return the same day to continue your visit.
Q: WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?
A: We encourage children (and parents) to wear comfortable clothes that are acceptable to make messes in. Make-A-Messterpiece ™ provides long -sleeved smocks for each child.
Q: DO I STAY WITH MY CHILDREN AS THEY EXPLORE THE STUDIO?
A: All caregivers must remain in the studio. However, we encourage adults to let children take the lead in their own learning experiences. For adults, we have Club M, our caregiver café, where we offer complimentary Wi-Fi, newspapers, magazines, and closed circuit televisions for parents to keep an eye on their child's activity.
Q: I RECEIVED A COUPON FOR A FREE ACTIVITY, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
A: We love sharing free activity coupons with our awesome mess-makers! A free activity coupon is valid to add any additional activity! Coupons are valid one per child per visit. Please note: Free activity coupons and other discounts may not be used in conjunction with parties, field trips, or admission packages.
